The Board of Marie’s Kitchen of Love is committed to combating the many issues faced by Haitian children every day just to survive such as lack of food, clean water and education. With the support of family, like-minded organizations and friends like you, the lives touched by Marie’s Kitchen of Love has reached hundreds of children, their families, and the community at large. Its our hope that together we can continue to make an impact one meal at a time.
Marie Asse'
Founder
After the passing of her husband, Marie turned her grief into purpose and founded a school she named, institution Mixte de Marie Asse'. Sacrificing the comforts of the American life, she returned to Haiti and built the school from the ground up. When the earthquake of 2010 severely damaged the school, instead of seeing it as an obstacle she saw it as an opportunity to expand the school by adding more grades. Her passion has withstood the test of time and mother nature. At 80 years old, she still goes to the school daily to ensure each child she encounters receives hope, love and a healthy meal.
