WHAT WE DO
Marie’s Kitchen of Love was founded to combat the many issues faced by Haitian children every day just to survive such as lack of food, clean water and education. With the support of family, like-minded organizations and friends like you, Marie’s Kitchen of Love educates over 250 children annually, provides clean water and feeds over 500 in the local community. Together, we can make an impact one meal at a time.
MISSION
Marie’s Kitchen of Love has expanded to focus on four fundamental pillars that support the personal growth of each child and the economic development of the local community. These pillars are:

-
Education - The school, Institution Mixte de Marie Asse', educates 250 children annually from 3 - 18 years old. The school facility is also used to provide adult classes in Reading, English and basic Mathematics.

-
Health and Wellness - The school provides free nutritious meals to both students and staff members. Children are able to participate in recreational activities such as soccer, basketball, dance and karate.

-
Community Development - The Water Well Project provides the community with access to reliable and safe clean water which is essential to preventing the spread of waterborne illnesses.

-
Job Creation - The growth of the school and availability of clean water fostered job creation. The school employs teachers, cooks, and aides and local vendors are able to use the water to cook their products and sell to the community.
